what we believe

win (To Christ)

"And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others ..."

2 Timothy 2:2

build (In Christ)

"And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,  for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,  till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ."

send (For Christ)

"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you:"

Matthew 28:19-20

Ephesians 4:11-13

doctrine

verbal inspiration

the trinity

virgin birth

blood atonement

We believe that the scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are verbally inspired by God, and are inerrant in the original writings and that they are of supreme and final authority in faith and practice (2 timothy 3:16-17).

the trinity

We believe in the Tribune God (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) each person being equal, yet there being not three Gods, but one (Genesis 1:1; John 10:30).

virgin birth

We believe in the Virgin Birth, the sinless life and deity of Jesus Christ the Lord (Isaiah 7:14; Luke 1:35; John 8:46; Hebrew 7:26).

blood atonement

We believe in the shed blood of Jesus Christ as the only ground of atonement for sins (Romans 3:25; Hebrews 9:14).

second coming

We believe in that "Blessed Hope" - personal, imminent, pre-tribulation, and pre-millennial coming of the Lord Jesus Christ for His redeemed ones; and in His subsequent return to earth, with His saints, to establish His Millennial Kingdom (I Thessalonians 4:13-18; Zechariah 14:4-11; Romans 5:9; I Thessalonians 1:10, 5:9; Revelations 3:10, 19:11-16).

resurrection

We believe in the bodily resurrection and Lordship of Jesus, His ascension into Heaven, and His present advocacy and High Priesthood in the presence of God for us (Acts 2:32; I Corinthians 15:23; Acts 1:9; I John 2:1; Hebrews 8:1-2).

the holy spirit

satan's personality

We believe that the Holy Spirit is the person who convicts the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgement; and that He regenerates, indwells, enlightens, and empowers the truly saved (John 16:8; I Corinthians 3:16, 6:19; Ephesians 1:13; I John 2:27).

We believe that Satan is a real personality, that he was created as a perfect being, but felt through pride, that he is the author of the Fall, and that he is the arch enemy of God and the Souls of men (Job 1:6-7; Ezekiel 28:14-15; Isaiah 14:12-13).

total depravity

We believe that the fall of our first parents caused total depravity and lost condition of all men by nature (Romans 3:19; 5:12, 19).

the trinity

virgin birth

blood atonement

JUSTIFICATION

We believe that men are justified on the single ground of faith, in the shed blood of Jesus (Acts 13:38-39).  This is entirely by grace, through faith, and not by any works so that boasting is excluded (Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 3:5).

eternal security

We believe in the eternal security and assurance of all the truly saved (John 10:28-29; Romans 8:33-34, 38-39; Philippians 1:6; Jude 24-25).

two natures

We believe that those who are born again possess two natures, and that they may be victorious over the old, through the power of the new; but eradication of the old nature (before death or the rapture) is unscriptural Romans 6:13, 8:12-13; Galatians 5:16-25; Ephesians 4:22; Colossians 3:10; 1 Peter 1:14-16; 1 John 3:59).

spiritual gifts

We believe that the gifts of evangelism, pastoring, and teaching (Ephesians 4:11-12) are sufficient for the perfecting of the Church today.  Sign gifts, including tongues, gradually disappeared as the canon of the scripture was completed, and the authority of the bible recognized.  But God is sovereign in the bestowment of His gifts and He does hear and answer prayers of faith according to His own will for the sick and afflicted (1 Corinthians 14:15-16, 19, 33, 40; James 5:15).  We also believe in the Prayers of Elders for the sick.

the one body

Through differing in minor matters of doctrine and practice- YET ALL TRULY SAVED OF THIS DISPENSATION ARE MEMBERS OF THE BODY OF CHRIST, THE TRUE CHURCH (1 Corinthians 12:12-13; Hebrews 12:23).  Therefore, we have fellowship with all men who are true believers.

world separation

We believe that all saved are called into a life of separation from all worldly and sinful practices (Romans 12:2; James 4:4; 1 John 2:16; 2 Corinthians 6:14).

non-resistance

We believe that the Christian church is "to be patient towards all men, never rendering evil for evil unto any man, but ever following that which is good, both among ourselves, and to all men," and that this should be consistently applied in all areas (1 Thessalonians 5:15; Romans 12:17, 19-21; 2 timothy 2:24; Hebrews 12:14; Titus 3:2).

the eternal state

We believe in the bodily resurrection of all persons, the eternal conscious punishment of every unsaved person (Matthew 25:45, Revelations 22:11), and the eternal fellowship with God, of every saved person (John 14:1-6; Philippians 3:20; Revelations 21:1-4).

missions

We believe that in view of the doctrines of total depravity and the lost condition of all who are unregenerate, the absolute obligation of the saved, is to witness by life, word, and sound missionary agencies, to the whole world, the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ (Acts 1:8; Matthew 28:19-20).
